Design Intent: An all-day café of Hotel Excelsior, that reminisces what once was and is now; offering an ambience that reflects the multi-faceted spirit of this historic part of Karachi, known for its Indo-Saracenic style of buildings along other things. Located on the main Sarwar Shaheed Road in old city centre, Saddar Town, this café is designed to have soulful presence; familiar but chic.

It offers a tactile experience of rich velvets and handmade ceramics, with a spurt of nostalgia through the deteriorated heritage façade. Monochromatic marble cladded walls which create a luxurious shell for this café interior.

Creating a cozy & welcoming vibe  by seating combinations that  facilitate the comforts of a gathering through  banquette seating as well as individual tables. Classical details of relief pattern tiles decorate the ceiling

Marble patch work on table tops and fluted marble on the counter further add to this unassuming luxury dining experience.

Bringing the outside in via generous windows romantically encasing a view of the hustling street outside of the Ind0 – Saracenic façade. Glimpses of the outside through classic, yet  modern metal window frame

Framing views of the social vibe around and through the façade with awnings that provide shade and represent the welcoming presence of the café
